Who are Watershed HR?
Our business is about improving your business.
Watershed has grown out of Collinson Grant's employment law and HR practice. It offers an unsurpassed record of support to small and medium sized businesses, larger companies and public sector organisations - going back nearly 50 years. The company retains the same commitment to excellence and value for money, the same skills and the same experienced staff.
The vast majority of our client relationships have been nurtured over a long period - we are reaching 50 years in the business. This means we understand the need to give straightforward and valuable advice. At Watershed we do that well.
We know you need flexibility, that is why we will not tie you into lengthy annual contracts, unlike most other providers. We do not have any hidden costs and we will never try to oversell to you.
We provide unlimited, quick, accurate, and commercially astute advice and support to make employment law work for you and are always on hand when you need us
Why choose us?
Put simply, we are great at what we do and our service speaks for itself.
We add value by getting to know how your business works, what your priorities are and what level of support your business needs. All of our fees are transparent and we will never try to over-sell to you
Through our partnership, we will help your business succeed by removing the complexities of employment law, add skills and confidence to your team, and allow you to concentrate on simply running your business.
The way we offer HR and employment law support provides you with a real choice, the ability to control costs and get exceptional results.
We are always just a phone call away.
What services do we offer?
Employment law is complicated enough and the outcome of Brexit may yet create further uncertainty - at least in the short term. Now, more than ever, businesses need a trusted advisor.
Our service is tailored to fit your particular needs - whether that is on a fixed-fee or a case-by-case basis. We build strong working relationships with clients. And that can be at one office or across multiple sites.
You can choose as many managers as you like to work with us. And we will always be ready to provide bespoke support - from a simple phone call, to face-to-face meetings, and drafting the documents you need.
Fixed-fee support:
For a realistic fixed-fee, we will provide a comprehensive review of all your policies and contracts, unlimited HR and employment law advice, easy to use online support, dedicated lawyers with access by phone, e-mail and face-to-face meetings, an emergency helpline, no lengthy contractual tie-ins and a six monthly review to ensure you are getting value for money.
A tailored fit pay-as-you-go service:
Whilst our fixed-fee support may offer overall better value, we are still available to help you for those one-off or infrequent matters.
Also, if you would prefer to not have insured employment tribunal claims, we can still represent you. The dispute will be handled by the same team who will have previously advised and guided you (before the dispute), which would cut down the cost given that we will already have extensive and intimate knowledge of the circumstance of the case.
With lower costs than law firms, whilst still having the benefit of qualified legal support, we will agree a reasonable hourly or daily fee for whatever advice or support you may need.
HR shield
We can provide insurance to cover the costs of any tribunal awards.
With no more tribunal fees, employee litigation is on the rise. We can offer you a different type of cover that you can use alongside our monthly support arrangement which will cover the costs of qualified legal representation, pay compensation awarded by a tribunal, pay settlements negotiated before a hearing.
This protection is unique as there is no need to have followed 'best practice' legal advice, and it will continue to cover you no matter how strong the defence is.
Employment Tribunals – handling your case:
No one wants a dispute to end up at a tribunal. But if you do find yourself in court, we will handle the case from start to finish, reducing pressure and minimising costs.
From liaising with ACAS to dealing with employee representatives, and pre-hearing discussions to recommending settlements, drafting witness statements and presenting the employer's case on the day; we will look after every eventuality.
